Parent/Guardian involvement is very active in Coláiste Gleann Lí through our Parents’ Council. It is made up of parents of first year to sixth year students. The school encourages new parents coming in to join the Parents’ council. It is a way to meet parents of the school, be part of the school community, be your child’s best advocate, be an active participant in your child’s education and get to know the teachers & staff. The Parents’ council meets roughly four times in the year to discuss parent’s issues and concerns, any new school policies, rules and fund raising. The meeting is relaxed, friendly, very informative and everyone’s input is appreciated. Any issues raised can be brought forward to Board of Management as we have 2 elected parents on the board and 3 parents elected on Kerry ETB Parents forum. Our Parents’ council work together for the best possible education for all the children in Coláiste Gleann Lí. The Parents’ Council and Students Council came together last year to fundraise to raise money for the school.
The AGM of the parents’ council was held on 29th September 2023. The following committee were elected for the school year 2022/2023.
